KURAYOSHI
KURAYOSHI Pure Malt Whisky is a Japanese whisky produced by the MATSUI distillery.
It is located in the coastal prefecture of Tottori in the southern part of Honshu Island, known for its sand dunes. The whiskeys produced by the MATSUI distillery are distilled using the pure groundwater of the Daisen Mountains.
MATSUI Breweries is also known for producing traditional Japanese sake and shochu. However, Matsui Distillery's production is very limited, and supplies of Kurayoshi whiskey are therefore very limited.
Founded in 1910, MATSUI Shuzou is located in Tottori Prefecture, northwest of Kyoto, on the shores of the Sea of Japan. Fresh groundwater from the wilderness of Tottori Prefecture is a gift of nature and is used to adjust Kurayoshi whisky to drinking strength.
It is a whisky with very flavorful, smooth and distinctive characteristics, which lives up to the name Kurayoshi, the city of water and greenery.
Tottori is known for its soft mineral water and abundance of nature. Over 14% of the prefecture's total land area is designated as a nature park.
